1300 Henton Mill Lane, Rockingham, Virginia 22802; 38.523996 N, 78.757599 W
A short .3 mile from the intersection of Martz and Indian Trail Roads you will come to Henton Mill Lane. This is the lane that used to connect Indian Trail Road and Fridley's Gap Road (site 2). It is private land now but once there were two mills and a school along this road. Hannah Henton Carpenter and her husband, William donated the land for Long's Chapel. In the 1870 census they lived next door to John Toliver, who served in the United States Colored Troops for the Union.
